Build Business Apps with AI - That Actually Work | Softr

Who we are
Softr is the first AI-native platform for building business apps such as internal tools and client portals, without any code.
If you’re interested in being on the cutting edge of technology and advancing your career at a fast-growing, lean, impact-driven company, then read on…
We launched Softr in 2020 with a single vision: to give 1 billion business users the ability to build the tools they need — without relying on developers, without learning to code.
Softr is now powering over 1 million builders worldwide - including companies like Netflix, Google, Stripe, UPS, and Clay, who build and run the systems that power their business operations.
We’re a fully remote, distributed, and diverse team of curious, ambitious, and driven individuals.

Tasks

Who we're looking for
We're looking for a demand gen leader who can own the full pipeline function — strategy and hands-on execution. This is an individual contributor role to start: there's no team yet, so you'll be building and running the engine solo before we scale it. You're an operator first — you stay in the mechanics yourself rather than defaulting to a hiring plan or strategy deck.
Your responsibilities

Pipeline and MQL targets — you set the number and you hit it, yourself

Full-funnel strategy across paid, email, lifecycle, and campaigns — but you pick 2-3 channels to go deep on rather than spreading thin across everything, and can defend what you chose not to do

Budget allocation and performance reporting

Marketing automation and attribution infrastructure — built and maintained by you, not delegated to an agency or consultant

Current, specific point of view on account/lead segmentation — what tools and criteria you'd use today

Alignment with sales on lead quality, handoffs, and follow-through

As the function proves out, you'll help define and hire the team around you

Requirements

What you bring to the table

6–8+ years in B2B SaaS demand gen

Comfortable being fully hands-on and solo from day one — no team to delegate to yet

Comfortable owning paid performance and systems, not just strategy decks — you can walk us through your last bid strategy change, not just the outcome

Hands-on with modern GTM tooling beyond point solutions — Clay, agentic workflows, API/data orchestration between your stack and CRM. Using ChatGPT to structure a JSON payload doesn't count as automation depth

Strong with data — you can build a dashboard, read attribution, and make a budget case

A track record that spans more than one account, product, or motion — one flagship win isn't proof the playbook generalizes

Experience with PLG or product-led + sales hybrid is a strong plus — but you're equally comfortable building demand from zero, with no inbound signal to lean on

Hands-on with HubSpot or equivalent; knows when to automate and when to keep it simple

High ownership and grit: You operate like a founder of your function. You don't wait for direction, and you finish what you start.

Sharp written communication: You can brief content teams, pitch leadership, and write the kind of clear copy that both humans and LLMs reward.

Benefits

Why is Softr the best place to work?

Fast-growing company and opportunity to make an impact on a large scale.

Competitive salary and equity options.

Fully remote and flexible work schedule.

High ownership, zero bureaucracy. Lean team, get things done mindset.

Annual company retreat and team gatherings.

Opportunity to build up sales motion from the ground up and have an outsized impact on the company’s trajectory.

Work directly with the founders and leadership team.

Our customers love Softr (1M+ users and growing)! A daily dose of customer love and positive feedback that rewards your work.

Backed by the best - we are well-resourced, profitable, and backed by best investors, like FirstMark Capital and the world’s best angel investors like Gokul Rajaram, Scott Belsky, Brian Balfour, Cristina Cordova and more (check out the full list here).
